These absolutely gorgeous beehive taillights feature original 2.75” diameter circa 1940 glass lenses.
When we found them, the lenses were still wrapped in the same newspaper the factory used more than 70 years ago as packing material. We decided the best way to show case the lenses was an elegant, machined and triple chrome plated steel housing without any visible fasteners.
As you can see, the end result is an ultra-smooth, ultra-clean, ultra-slick design that gives the lenses a Frenched look without any complicated body work.
The outside diameter of the housing is 4” and installation requires cutting a 3 3/8” hole, inserting the housing and clamping it from the backside. They have an O-ring seal between the housing and the surface to which they mount and come with a socket to hold an 1157 style bulb or LED.
