Danchuk Tri-Five Nationals 2018

A number of unforeseen complications have lead us to saying, with great disappointment, that we will not be attending the Tri-5 National Show as we had been planning for it since last year.

There is no question we hate to miss the opportunity to talk with you in person but not being there this year just increases our resolve to be there for the next show.

The CON2R Crew

Beaverton, OR: CON2R was recognized with two 2018 Global Media Awards this year at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The first was for their solid wood grip steering wheels and the second for their “Twin-Threes” universal application instrument set.

“It’s an honor to receive one GMA but receiving two provides us with a great sense of validation for the effort put into creating these products” says CON2R president Bob Peterson.
The SEMA Global Media Awards Program recognizes those companies that manufacture specialty equipment products and accessories that would have mass appeal to consumers in countries outside the United States. The products are voted on by a prestigious group of international journalists who serve as judges.
“The idea of customization and personalization has been growing throughout world,” said Linda Spencer, SEMA director of international and government relations. "Our goal is to have media experts from around the world determine which new products are likely to succeed in their home markets.”
This year’s program included 30 judges from 19 countries. Each judge carefully reviewed and evaluated nearly 3,000 product entries at the SEMA Show before selecting the products that they felt would resonate and appeal most to enthusiasts in their countries.
CON2R is a custom manufacturer of hot rod, street rod and muscle car steering wheels, instrumentation, and accessories known for their unique design concepts.  Information on all the products in the CON2R "Old Skool Zone" can be found online at www.con2r.com.

Showtime at the 2017 Detroit Autorama

It was a great year for us at the Detroit Autorama and we want to take a minute to do a shout out for all of our customers who had cars with our products in them on display and congratulate those who were recognized at the show.

First up is the red ’54 Corvette that was one of the final “Great Eight” contenders for the Ridler.  Built by Larry Griffey, it features one our leather-wrapped, polished chrome, direct-replacement steering wheels.  Congratulations to Larry!

Dennis Spence turned heads with his 1960 Ford Thunderbird which won the Radical Custom trophy AND a Street Rodder’s Top 100 pick.  This first-time build for Dennis features a custom CON2R steering wheel that he said, “Tied the entire car together.”

Scott Smith’s ’53 Ford Wagon, featuring CON2R RestoFit Gauges and a full on custom Series One Pomona steering wheel, was recognized with a Top 100 spot by Street Rodder Magazine.

One-Off Rod & Custom drew the judges’ attention with their 1932 Ford Coupe which they presented with Outstanding Interior Award.  Helping send the award home with them was one Series One Gazelle steering wheels that perfectly matched the character of this build.

A tip of the hat to John Ivankovics' sweet 1958 Ford Sunliner that featured one of our Series One Gazelle steering wheels that was color keyed to match his car and set off with a custom inlaid horn button.

It’s been a while since we made them but included in the cars chosen to represent the 65 years of Autorama shows was the 1959 Imperial Speedster by Pfaff Designs with our custom “Imperial Speedster” emblems.

And lastly, we didn’t expect it but we want to thank the Detroit Autorama for recognizing us with an “Outstanding Commercial Display” award.

If we somehow missed you at the show, please send us some pictures of our product in your ride and we will add them to this  gallery.

CON2R Recieves Three 2017 Global Media Awards at SEMA

Everyone at CON2R has been smiling since we learned our 1947-53 GMC truck gauges and “Tri-5” Chevrolet “SuperStock” Instrumentation had been recognized at SEMA 2016 with three Global Media Awards.

Twenty-nine judges, who are top automotive journalists from around the world, were given the monumental task of reviewing nearly 3,000 entries and then winnowing those down to the 180 that received a GMA at the show.

“It’s an honor to receive one GMA but receiving three provides us with a great sense of validation for the effort we have put into creating these products” says CON2R’s president Bob Peterson.

The selection comments provided by the judges about our products were universal in their recognition of how our designs had a true “Old Skool” look that was coupled with high-tech instrument drives.

See One Of Our C1 Corvette Steering Wheels As Featured in Vette Magazine

If you see a copy of the October 2016 issue of Vette magazine, grab it and go to Page 24 where you can take a look at one of our custom C1 Corvette steering wheels featured in the “Stopping and Steering Improved” article written by Gerry Burger.   We think the custom Risky Red and Simply Black design with color splits looks like it could have been in the car when it rolled off the production line back in 1960.

CON2R Releases "SuperStock" Instrument Sets for 1955/56 Chevrolets

If you like the look of 1955 and 1956 Chevrolet factory instruments, then you’re going to love these all new, direct replacements manufactured by CON2R in Beaverton, OR. From the typeface to the embossed background, these instruments live up to their SuperStock nomenclature. Although everything up front has the appearance of being original, the needles are driven by the latest in electronic instrument technology.

Exclusive from CON2R is their “halo” LED lighting system that provides even, glare-free illumination across the entire face of the instrument panel. Parking brake, high beam and turn signal lights complete the set.

Black and white color schemes are standard but special colors are available as are 120, 140 and 160 mph speedometer markings.

Every gauge set is individually tailor made per order and now available for $1095.00 + S&H. We invite you to take a closer look here on our website or call us at 503.626.6390 to learn how we can "Improve Your View".

Do you have one of these?

All the molds on our shift knobs are demolished and they will never be in production again. However, this does not stop customers from asking for them. If you are holding on to one of these and would prefer to sell it please contact us and we will give you their contact information. We appreciate all the support and interest in our products! Have fun and drive carefully.

'57 Chevy SuperStock Instrument Set

The look may say "OLD SKOOL!" but everything behind these beautiful faces from CON2R represents the latest in electronic instrument technology.

Authentically styled, this direct replacement gauge set provides a full range of vital information from six instruments in a layout that features their dual-needle, concentric drives. With textures and windows that mirror the original design, these units provide understandable, accurate and reliable system monitoring.

Black or white faces are available as are 120, 140 and 160 mph speedometers. At night, the CON2R LED “halo” lighting provides an elegant accent to any interior.

To simplify installation, each set of SuperStock instruments comes with oil pressure and water temperature sending units. Additional information on these instruments and others being developed by CON2R can be found by clicking here.

Old Skool Stock Beehive Taillights

Just cleared for release from inside the Old Skool Zone at CON2R are these absolutely gorgeous beehive taillights featuring original 2.75” diameter circa 1940 glass lenses.

When we found them, the lenses were still wrapped in the same newspaper the factory used more than 70 years ago as packing material.  We decided the best way to show case the lenses was an elegant, machined and triple chrome plated steel housing without any visible fasteners.

We’re making just 40 sets of these lights with a retail price of $269.95 per pair plus shipping.  To add a touch of authenticity, each set will come with a piece of the original newspaper. To read more about this product or to make a purchase, click here.
