It was a great year for us at the Detroit Autorama and we want to take a minute to do a shout out for all of our customers who had cars with our products in them on display and congratulate those who were recognized at the show.
First up is the red ’54 Corvette that was one of the final “Great Eight” contenders for the Ridler. Built by Larry Griffey, it features one our leather-wrapped, polished chrome, direct-replacement steering wheels. Congratulations to Larry!
Dennis Spence turned heads with his 1960 Ford Thunderbird which won the Radical Custom trophy AND a Street Rodder’s Top 100 pick. This first-time build for Dennis features a custom CON2R steering wheel that he said, “Tied the entire car together.”
Scott Smith’s ’53 Ford Wagon, featuring CON2R RestoFit Gauges and a full on custom Series One Pomona steering wheel, was recognized with a Top 100 spot by Street Rodder Magazine.
One-Off Rod & Custom drew the judges’ attention with their 1932 Ford Coupe which they presented with Outstanding Interior Award. Helping send the award home with them was one Series One Gazelle steering wheels that perfectly matched the character of this build.
A tip of the hat to John Ivankovics’ sweet 1958 Ford Sunliner that featured one of our Series One Gazelle steering wheels that was color keyed to match his car and set off with a custom inlaid horn button.
It’s been a while since we made them but included in the cars chosen to represent the 65 years of Autorama was the 1959 Imperial Speedster by Pfaff Designs with our custom “Imperial Speedster” emblems.
And lastly, we didn’t expect it but we want to thank the Detroit Autorama for recognizing us with an “Outstanding Commercial Display” award.
If we somehow missed you at the show, please send us some pictures of our product in your ride and we will add them to this gallery.
